Job description
Assisting the Commissioning Engineer
in ensuring the commissioning work meets the
Project objectives by co-ordinating
Instrument loop checks associated with all project field instrumentation on the
Onshore Process facilities process plant.
Ensuring necessary HSE reviews are undertaken and identified actions
completed.
Collate and ensure completeness of Instrument Loop packs with the
necessary project engineering documents.
Attend walk downs prior to disciple acceptance identifying and reporting
any ‘hold points’ & deficiencies.
Collating and updating of all associated commissioning documents held
within a Instrument ‘loop pack’, including and documenting ‘as Built’ mark -ups.
Coordinate Instrument technicians activities in order to complete Instrument
pre commissioning scope to project standards.
Provide
confirmation that all elements which form the particular Instrument loop are correctly assembled and are operating
as per design intent.
Ensure Instrument test records (ITR’s) are completed upon successful
completion of loop test.
Input commissioning Instrument test records (ITR’s) to ACS project
completions database and reporting of any system deviations.
Coordination of all activities associated with pre commissioning,
including PTW and liaising with ICSS systems engineers and other disciplines.
Requirements
Minimum ONC, preferably HNC in controls or instrumentation
related engineering.
Minimum 15 years Oil and Gas industry experience.
Minimum 5 years experience of commissioning Gas systems.
5 years in technical and supervision of
contractors/suppliers personnel.
Experience and good understanding of Project Completions Systems.
Experience and good understanding of Change Control systems.
Experience in coordinating of field instrument technicians.
Experience in trouble shooting instrumentation loops
including DCS & ESD.
Experience and good understanding of loop folders.
