Job description
To develop, document, implement and monitor the TSP Competence
Assurance Management System (CAMS) for SP-4 and 5 ensuring that it conforms
both to Client requirements and is conformant with international
best practice. The scope of CAMS will cover all
TSP on the Job learning activities and assessments, enabling documented tracking and recording
systems to be implemented for the requisite Awareness and Knowledge
(Underpinning knowledge) and then practical skills to be developed and assessed,
and fit-for-purpose national Operators and technicians fully competent to
participate in Commissioning and Start Up activities for PM.
Producing definitive Competence Assurance
models in liaison with the Competency System Advisor for all agreed Training
Paths including Elements and Units of Competence, and standards of performance
or ‘Proof Points’.
Develop and document the assessment procedure
for these Competence Models including roles
of Trainers, Field Assessors and
Mentors, assessment check-lists and assessment result recording systems and
documentation for both classroom based and On the Job assessments, for an
auditable path underpinning the Competence Assurance process.
Develop and document the Verification
procedure for these Competence Models including
Verification check-lists and result recording systems and documentation
for both classroom based and On the Job Verifications.
Develop and document a full Business Process
map for the CAMS Assessment and Verification system clarifying roles and
responsibilities of all Stake Holders (including, but not limited to TSP
Trainers, Assessors, Field Assessors and
Mentors, Internal Verifiers.
Review existing Classroom based assessment
policy to ensure it is conformant with the requirement s of the new TSP CAMS
requirements and make changes if necessary.
Liaising with
Training Coordinator and Head Of Special Project Training to ensure suitably
qualified and experienced assessors and Verifiers are recruited or retained to
fully meet needs of SP-4 and 5 activities.
Ensuring assessment systems are compatible
with ATC Learning Management System (LMS), are entered into LMS to
record trainee competence and achievement of specified underpinning knowledge.
Assisting and supporting the Competence
System Coordinator and Head of Special Project on preparation and issue of
major Training Special Projects documentation, strategies and methodologies.
Preparation of
weekly and other of periodical reports.
Requirements
Background
in engineering.
Have
worked as On the Job Trainer or supervisor.
Be
fully conversant with Oil and Gas best practices in the area of competence
assurance.
At
least 10 years working in Training and Development within the Oil and Gas
Industry.
At
least 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry operations activities.
Wide
experience with foreign management styles and working with foreign companies.
