Job description
Provides safety engineering discipline expertise, biased to Fire &
Gas ( F&G) experience and support to other engineering disciplines, to ensure
that design for Offshore facilities meets the necessary International codes and
standards.
Liaising with Detail Design Contractor engineers as and
when required to ensure efficient resolution to any issues identified during
the design work.
Reviewing F&G
layouts, F&G Cause and Effects, design drawings and other technical
documents to ensure compliance with the Project requirements.
Reviewing of the
following:
Vendor
documentation, providing comments where
necessary to ensure alignment with project specification;
Fire
& gas Philosophy, Offshore Safety
Philosophy, to ensure design compliance by Contractors;
Providing technical safety advice and input to other disciplines during
completion of detailed design execution.
Coaching other less experienced
team member(s) if necessary.
Requirements
Engineering or technical degree or equivalent and not less than less
than 10 years of working experience in the oil and gas industry onshore and
offshore.
Minimum 5 years of Safety related activities, specifically related to
F&G applications within safety systems.
International Project experience at Detailed Design, Construction and
Hook-Up stages.
