Job description
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Purchasing Administrator
will provide administrative support to our trade and logistics department. The
ideal candidate has a good level of understanding in documentary letters of credit
with purchasing background.
Liaise with
financial institutions for establishment of documentary letter of credit.
Keep
track/records of all payments and transactions made to suppliers and deal
with discrepancies in outstanding invoices.
Coordinate funding
activities and tasks in collaboration with the Supply Chain Officer.
Within
given levels of authority, agree pricing, delivery and quality standards
with suppliers.
Prepare and
issue Requests for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotation(RFQ)/Purchase
orders to external suppliers in accordance with Departmental and Company
operating procedures.
Liaise with
suppliers and other departments to advise on progress of activities to
achieve on-time delivery to the required specification.
Provide
weekly, monthly reports, as instructed by the Management.
Requirements
Financial background with
HND/HNC or Degree in Finance and/or equivalent working experience within
an established Procurement Department or Trade Finance Department.
A good team player with an
imaginative, proactive approach with strong interpersonal skills will be
required.
Must be eligible to live &
work in the UK.
Should be IT literate, specifically in excel.
