Job description
The Essential duties are:
To organize and coordinate in cooperation
with the site management project members all the activities of the Site
Engineering Office.
To be responsible against the Site
Management Team and the Client of all the technical issues on site in terms of
analyze, interpretation and
organization of all the technical aspects of the project .
To ensure that only the latest revisions
of drawings, specifications, calculations and Code requirements are used, and
that in the case of changes, only those authorized are used in construction ,
examinations, inspections and tests.
Assure the control of the following documents:
- Purchase orders - Calculations, drawings,
procedures, and specifications
- Quality Control Plans.
To
review upon receipt of the purchase orders and the related contract conditions, , comments and
actions the above mentioned purchase orders
in conjunction with the Construction Department
, and to the Quality Manager .
To ensure the availability of the project calculations for the Client and
the authorized authority in accordance
with the project requirements .
To Issue the Bill of Material relevant
the construction activities ( modifications, variations requested by the
Client etc. ) as well list of the specific and urgent materials requested by
the Construction Department .
To prepare a preliminary drawing relevant modifications , drawing revisions ,
additional requirements as requested by the Client and / or by the Construction
Department which includes all the
necessary information concerning design data, material specification, type or
grade, dimensions and tolerances, hydrostatic or pneumatic tests, details of
welded and bolted joints, NDE, heat treatment requirements and Client's
requests.
To check
and issue all drawings, calculations, technical procedures and their
revisions. Assure the issuing of the Document Transmission Form its signature and acknowledging receipt by the receiver in
order to ensure documents traceability.
To maintain an up-dated copy of all modified drawings and specifications for job history
purpose and AS BUILT DRAWING ISSUE .Make sure that all the engineering
documents are issued to the Prefab. Shops and to the Site Departments by the
Engineering Dept. using the Document
Transmission Form.
To treat order drawing revision requested by the Client on site in the same way as the
procedure adopted for original drawings.
To Give full support to the Construction
Department as well to the Engineering Department of the Head Office
Responsible for the
input of correct design data and for the verification that the correct output
has been obtained. Good knowledge of the CAD designs is a essential.
Ensure the necessary
documentation of the verification of computer programs used for calculations
when these calculations are provided by an outside organization.
To compile weekly and monthly reports for internal management
meetings and Client , as requested
To be familiar with the most important specifications, standards, codes
compliance, applicable method in the hydro- carbon industry to verify the
procedures to be use to supervise the preparation of the followings:
Selection of the joint weld details.
Requirements
9Degree
in
engineering discipline.
10
years
in experience in Oil&Gas or chemical industry
5+
years experience in
construction engineering and managing of
multidiscipline team
Knowledge of Welding procedure spec.s (wps) and relevant
supporting pqr.s
Knowledge of Heat
treatment procedures
Knowledge of the N.D.E. procedures
Fabrication procedures and/or
work instructions.
Able to communicate both in English
and French.
